Franklin D. Roosevelt and the 100 days
Roosevelt comes in during the lowest point of the great depression. He promised that within the first 100 days of him being elected he would fix many problems. First he focused on banks, he brought in Federal Insurance so people would not lose money. This brought confidence back into investing. He served FOUR terms, which is past the constitution regulated terms, this was the longest time served in record. He dies in his fourth term unfortunately from Infantile paralysis and brain hemorrage (1945). He was also the first and only president in a wheel chair. There were 13 million unemployed when he was elected and almost none when he finished. He also introduced the New Deal.
